About William M. London

I’m a professor in the Department of Public Health at California State University, Los Angeles, a co-author of the college textbook CONSUMER HEALTH: A GUIDE TO INTELLIGENT DECISIONS, NINTH EDITION (2013), one of two North American editors of the journal FOCUS ON ALTERNATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES, associate editor of the e-newsletter CONSUMER HEALTH DIGEST, co-host of the CREDENTIAL WATCH website, a founding fellow of the Institute for Science in Medicine, an editor for the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Section of the CALIFORNIA JOURNAL OF HEALTH PROMOTION, and a member of the Review Board of the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF HEALTH BEHAVIOR. I earned an Ed.D. in health education, an Ed.M. in health education, and Ed.M. in educational psychology, a B.A. in biological science, and a B.A. in geography from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. My M.P.H in health administration is from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. Although I completed all coursework toward a master of science in clinical research degree from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, it has been taking me years to complete my thesis on scientifically indefensible claims made online by chiropractors in Los Angeles. (Chiropractors make many indefensible claims.) I may have run out of time to complete degree number seven.
